Obama and the tax cuts

I am sorry but I will no longer support President Obama, he has sold this country out. Does anyone believe they will do away with these tax cuts in two years? No way during a Presidential campaign. These tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans hurts America. We are drowning in a sea of debt and eventually it will collapse this country. It happened to the USSR and it will happen here. We need leadership to do whats right, not what will get them reelected. I thought Obama had the courage to do the right thing, I was wrong.

Maybe we should refer to him as the Coward in Chief from now on.

Veterans Day

Veterans fought for many things in this country but most importantly they fought for the US Constitution and its Bill of Rights. I'd like to thank them all, without their courage or sacrafice we may not be the country we are today.

To those who continue the fight whether in the armed forces or in your local streets I say thank you as well. Together we as a people will continue standing up for all Americans against those who try to divide us. Whether if they use weapons or hate speech the people united will never be defeated!

Sign of the times?

Here it is two days after the elections and still I wonder what the hell were people thinking. It took us eight years of incompetence to dig the hole this country is in, did anyone think Obama could solve the problem in less then two years? To just hand the house over to those who created this problem is asinine. But I must blame Obama for some of went down. He tried too hard to compromise. He had a mandate, he should have forced change upon us. Then people would see that he was doing something. Yes there were great accomplishments but there are still wars being fought. The time for peace is now.

ACORN

I once applied for a job with ACORN here in RI. They were a good group and the work they did for low income Rhode Islanders was needed. Too bad Republican dirty tricks put them out of business.

Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas should resign

It has been disclosed that US Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas have been in bed with the Koch Brothers(1) for awhile. Their votes on turning over Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission was tainted by that connection. They need to be removed from the court. That ruling allowed the Kochs to pour millions of dollars(2) into our election process. The rich should have no bigger voice then the poor or middle class.
